Washington,(D.C) – Friday, August 16, 2024 (Clarity Times) – In a show of continued commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, President Joseph R. Biden has announced the appointment of a Presidential Delegation to represent the United States at the Inauguration of His Luis Abinader on August 16, 2024, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The Honorable Jennifer M. Granholm, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, will lead the delegation, highlighting the strong collaboration between the two nations in vital areas such as energy and economic development.
Members of the Presidential Delegation include:
Ms. Patricia Aguilera, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo; The Honorable Tom Perez, Assistant to the President, Senior Advisor to the President, and Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at The White House; The Honorable Alejandra Y. Castillo, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development at the U.S. Department of Commerce; The Honorable Chris Dodd, Special Presidential Advisor for the Americas at the U.S. Department of State; and The Honorable Daniel P. Erikson, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council in The White House, will all be part of this delegation.
This delegation underscores the United States’ continued commitment to strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties with the Dominican Republic, a key partner in the Western Hemisphere.
