Lynnzee Brown to Make History as First Haitian Gymnast at Paris Olympics.

Lynzee Brown - Haitian Gymnast

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Lynnzee Brown, assistant coach for Penn State women’s gymnastics, is set to make history as the first Haitian gymnast to compete in the Olympic Games. Brown has secured a universality place qualification from the Olympic Games Tripartite Commission and will represent Haiti in women’s artistic gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

This summer, Lynnzee Brown will make her historic Olympic debut in Paris. Building on her remarkable performances at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp last September and multiple Pan American competitions over the past year, Brown’s participation in the Paris Olympics marks a significant milestone. She will be the first gymnast to represent Haiti in the history of the Games. Her competition will commence in the women’s qualification round, beginning on July 28.

In an interview with Penn State Sports, Lynnzee Brown expressed her gratitude and honor for the opportunity to represent her country. “I honestly have nothing that feels good enough. I am grateful for this journey and those who have supported me. I am honored that the Haitian federation is backing me, and I look forward to inspiring the next generation of athletes.”

Lynnzee Brown is a former standout gymnast from the University of Denver, where she earned ten WCGA Postseason All-American honors, was a co-National Champion, and was a two-time AAI Award finalist. She joined Penn State as an assistant coach in the summer of 2023.
