Gala AGOM

New York, September 18, 2024 – The Alliance Gonaïvienne d’Outre-Mer (AGOM) announces its 3rd Annual Gala, scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Bentley’s Night Club in Brooklyn, New York. This high-profile event will be a vibrant celebration of Haitian culture while raising essential funds for sustainable development in Gonaives, Haiti.

AGOM’s gala has become a pivotal event within the Gonaivian community, drawing support from around the globe. The funds raised will be directed towards critical infrastructure development, education initiatives, healthcare access, and clean water projects—all aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of Gonaives.

The objective of the Gala
The 3rd Annual Gala is dedicated to addressing the significant challenges faced by Gonaives, including inadequate infrastructure, limited healthcare services, and the need for better educational resources. AGOM is committed to using this event to both raise awareness and funds through engagement with the community and support from the diaspora.

This gala is not just a celebration—it’s a call to action,” said AGOM’s Executive Coordinator Rodney Merard. “We invite the Gonaivian and Haitian diaspora, along with global supporters, to join us in making a meaningful difference. Every contribution is valuable.

Why Support Is Crucial?
Gonaives has long struggled with issues related to poverty, education, and public health. AGOM’s mission is to create lasting change by funding projects that address these areas. Past successes include the renovation of a public park and the construction of bridges. Currently, AGOM is working on building a multisport field in the Savanna Poudiere area of downtown Gonaives, aiming to provide recreational and sports facilities for the community.

Event Highlights
The gala will feature a range of exciting activities, including keynote speeches from influential Haitian leaders, live performances by acclaimed artist Alan Cavé, and traditional cultural dances showcasing Gonaives’ rich heritage. Attendees will also have the chance to network and discuss the future of Gonaives with fellow supporters.
