63-year-old Florida Man Arrested After Pulling Gun on Drivers in Port St. Lucie

Port St. Lucie, FL – August 20, 2024 – In a dramatic road rage episode, 63-year-old Paul Slane was arrested after allegedly threatening two individuals with a handgun. The incident, captured on video, occurred on Tuesday as Slane, driving a black Mercedes, aggressively maneuvered around a truck. He then stopped his vehicle, brandished a gun, and aimed it at the truck’s occupants.

The video, recorded by the truck’s passenger, shows Slane stepping out of his car with the gun in hand and approaching the truck while shouting threats. “Get out of the expletive car now!” he demanded, as the truck’s driver considered drawing his weapon.

Slane further escalated the situation by reaching into the truck to seize the passenger’s phone, demanding, “Give me the expletive phone!” He then retreated to his vehicle and fled the scene.

Port St. Lucie Police later apprehended Slane and recovered the firearm used in the incident. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted armed robbery, and simple battery. Slane is currently held at St. Lucie County Jail with no bond.
